Meet Ann@lise, the queen of glittering chaos

Born in Laguna Beach, raised in Montreal, and now based in Toronto, Ann@lise is a bilingual Canadian pop artist whose witty, heartfelt storytelling bridges pop, soul, and empowerment. Of Norwegian, French-Canadian and American roots, she writes in both English and French, blending personal chaos and sharp honesty into songs that stick.

Music has been her lifelong companion. A piano player since five, she was harmonizing with her mother before she could read music, joined a children’s choir, studied opera, and performed with The Voice’s Christina Grimmie at 14 – a moment that confirmed her calling.

Drawing inspiration from Kesha, Alanis Morissette, and Taylor Swift, Ann@lise crafts pop songs that are funny, fearless, and unfiltered. Her breakout single “Letters to Heaven” donates all proceeds to suicide prevention, marking her as an artist with both depth and heart. She’s also featured on the Juno-winning album Lover’s Gothic by Maia Davies.

Her upcoming EP – a defining step forward – was made in close partnership with Toronto pop producer Ming Gao, alongside Will Lamoureux (Nelly Furtado, Sofia Camara), engineer Brandon Unis (Jamie Fine) and co-writers including Rêve, Ralph, Cassie DaSilva, Good Grief, and Rx. The project finds her “finally sounding like herself”: bright, bold pop that turns heartbreak into catharsis.

Her message is simple but powerful: be yourself – life is for expression, not depression. With a new era on the horizon, Ann@lise is ready to take her raw, relatable voice from the studio to the stage, one scream-along chorus at a time.
